Teteven is at the centre of the monastery ecotour in the heart of Bulgaria leading through the monastery of Glogen, St.Ilia, Troyan and Batoshevo.

The Teteven region’s nature is truly unique and picturesque with a beautiful flora and fauna, century-old woods, waterfalls and caves. Pleasant tourist paths lead to the biosphere reserves of “Tsarichina”, “Boatin” and “Kozia Stena”. Closely situated are also the lodges “Georgi Benkovski”, “Echo” and “Vejen”, the famous monastery of Glogen “St.Georgi” and the monastery of “St.Ilia”.

The natural riches of the region offer perfect conditions for hunting and fishing, skiing, alpine marches and mountaineering. Many interesting sight in Teteven give an insight to the Bulgarian history of the region.
